Timisoara was part of the Habsburg Empire for over 150 years. From this reason, the city looks very "Austrian". Around Timisoara, the county Banat was and still is home for german people called "Svabi".

1. Day: Home - Timisoara
Drive over Györ, Budapest, Kecskemet and Szeged to the Romanian border. Meet with the Romanian guide and transfer to Timisoara to the hotel. D/O/B

2. Day: Timisoara
After the breakfast, city tour in Timisoara, the city with 14 bridges over the Bega River, visiting the Catholic Church, the Orthodox Cathedral, the old City Hall, the Opera. In the afternoon, free time. D/O/B

3. Day: Timisoara - Lugoj - Recas - Timisoara
After the breakfast, drive to Lugoj and visit of the Baroque Church. Afterwards, drive further to the Faget county, well known for its wooden churches. Visit of the churches from Batesti (16th century), Margina (1737) and Curtea (1794). After these visits, drive to the wine yard Recas where one will have a wine tasting. Drive back to Timisoara. 4. Day: Timisoara - Lenauheim - Arad - Timisoara
In the morning, drive over Carpinis to Jimbolia where one will visitthe Memorial Museum Stefan Jäger, a well known painter belonging to the German minority. Afterwards drive to the small village Lenauheim, the birth place of the great lyric Nikolaus Lenau. The next stop will be in Bodrogu Nou where one will visit the orthodox monastery Hodos - Bodrog. Then drive to Arad where one will see the catholic church, the theatre and other interesting buildings. On the way back to Timisoara, another wine tasting is expecting the group in the wine yard Minis. D/O/B

5. Day: Timisoara - Hercules Spa - Iron Gates - Timisoara
After the breakfast, drive over Bocsa, Resita and Caransebes to Hercules Spa. Short city tour. Afterwards, drive over Orsova to the Iron Gates. In the afternoon, drive back to Timisoara. Dinner and folklore program. D/O/B

6. Day: Timisoara - home
