1st Day Budapest - Timisoara
At the Romanian-Hungarian border in Nadlag, one are expecteded by the Romanian guide and after the short border formalities one will immediately drive towards Timisoara. On the way one will see the city of Arad which is a very interesting city with its typical buildings from the days of Maria Theresa. In the late afternoon, one will arrive in Timisoara, which is the largest city in the west of Romania. Here one will visit the metropolitan cathedral which is exactly in the Centre, the place where the revolution from December 1989 begun. D/O/B

2nd Day Timisoara - Sibiu
In the morning, one will drive through the west Carpathian Mountains, along the river Mures across Deva, up to Alba Iulia. At noon, one can visit the Catholic cathedral here, as well as the ring walls of the fort that Eugen of Savoy constructed. In the afternoon one will arrive in Sibiu in the middle of Romania. Optional, one will visit in the evening the Glass icons museum from Sibiel and afterwards one will be invited to the mountain farmers in the village to eat and have something good to drink.

Day 3. Sibiu - Brasov - Predeal
In the morning one can visit the old town of Sibiu with its most important sights. One will see the large and small ring, the Bridge of lies as well as the Bruckental -palace that is today one of the most important museums in Romania. In the afternoon one will visit Brasov, the largest city of Transilvania where one of the most important attraction points is represented by the Black church. It is the largest building in the gothic style and the most valuable Persian-carpet-collection in the world is also here. One will use this opportunity to visit the castle of Bran in the afternoon. This castle is also called the castle of Dracula because for a short time it belonged to the sovereign Vlad the Impaler. In the evening, optional, one will go from Predeal to Brasov in order to have a Viennese evening. Sopranos, tenors, ballet dancers and the symphonic orchestra will be waiting for, along with a good meal and enough wine. Price per person 15 EUR. D/O/B

4th Day Predeal – Bucharest-Predeal
This day is reserved for a trip to the south. In the morning, one will first visit the castle of Peles the summer residence of the Hohenzollern dynasty in Romania which is located in Sinaia. Very close to the castle of Peles, one can also find the monastery of Sinaia which was erected by monks from the Sinai Peninsula. From Sinaia, one will go towards Bucharest where one will have as visiting sights the Village museum, the patriarch church and the palace of the parliament (the second largest building in the world after the Pentagon). In the afternoon onee will drive back to the mountains. In the evening, optional, one will visit the restaurant "Casa Taraneasca" ("the farmer's house) where one will spend a comfortable evening with gipsy music, meal and drinks. 5th Day Poiana Brasov - Piatra Neamt
In the morning one will visit, in the vicinity of Brasov, two church castles that were build in the 13th century. Here the population was able to protect itself from the Tatars. They are the castles of Harman and Prejmer. Afterwards one will drive, through the eastern part of Transylvania, through the Szekler County which is mainly inhabited by a Hungarian population. One will drive along the most beautiful route, from a landscape point of view, of the entire trip; one will cross the east Carpathian Mountains through the Bicaz –gorge and near the "lacu Rosu" (Red lake) pass. 6th Day Piatra Neamt - Cimpulung Moldovenesc
In the morning, one will visit two nun monasteries, namely the monasteries of Agapia and Varatec, which are the largest in the whole Europe with more than 1000 nuns each. The doors of the monasteries are open. The doors of the nuns’ workshops where they produce carpets, Goblins or icons are also open. In the afternoon one will visit the monastery Neamt where an important number of monks live and where one can actually see the life of these monks in the monastery. D/O/B

7th Day Tour of the monasteries
In the morning one will begin with the visit of the monastery of Moldovita, known worldwide because of the exterior wall painting. Here one will have the opportunity to be introduced by mother Tatijana to the world of the orthodox belief. Afterwards one will arrive to the monastery of Sucevita where one will be able to recognize another paint style. In the vicinity, there is also the ceramic centre of Marginea where one can see the manufacturing of the black ceramic. In the afternoon one will visit the monastery of Voronet which is also called the "Sistine Chapel” of Romania. In the evening, optional, one can have a folklore evening in the Wood museum of Cimpulung Moldovenesc. Here one can see music and dance. At the same time one can also taste the Romanian cooking. Drinks will also be at hand.

8th Day Cimpulung Moldovenesc - Satu Mare
In the morning one will drive through the Prislop pass in order to arrive to the county of Maramures. Here the old traditions are still very well preserved. The villagers can still be seen in their traditional costume. One will begin with the viewing of the world-renowned wood churches from Ieud, Bogdan Voda and Rozavlea which are identical with the rod churches from Norway. By request lunch packages will also be at hand so that one can have a picnic. In the afternoon one will make a stop in Sapinta at the "Cheerful cemetery", where one can read on each gravestone a jolly poem over the deceased. This way the farmers mock here death because there is an eternal life. In the evening one will be accommodated in an architectural monument. The Dacia hotel which was constructed in the secession style is located in the middle of the region capital D/O/B

9th Day. Satu Mare - Budapest
One will drive in the morning to the border Bors. One will make a short stop in Oradea where the buildings are mainly constructed in the youth style. At the border, one will say goodbye to the Romanian guide and drive to Budapest.
