1st Day Budapest - Tirgu Mures
At noon one will arrive at the border Bors where our guide will be expecting the group. After the short border formalities, one will drive further. This way one can see Oradea with the old buildings that were constructed in the youth style. The crossing of the west Carpathian Mountains is also worth a trip. In Cluj-Napoca, one will make a stop to visit the St. Michael cathedral. This gothic sacral building is often compared to the Stefan cathedral in Vienna. In the late afternoon, one will arrive in Tirgu–Mures D/O/B Hotel 2*
2nd Day Tirgu Mures - Sinaia
In the morning one will drive through Transylvania, the land where the German colonists settled 11 centuries ago. The first stop is in Sighisoara, which is famous because of its old town. Here one can visit the clock tower, Dracula’s house of birth as well as the mountain churches and the Josef Haltrich secondary school. From here on one will drive past Rupea and Feldioara to Brasov. In the whole region one can see numerous Saxon church castles that were build in the 14th and 15th century. In Brasov one will visit of course the Black Church, which is known as the biggest gothic building in Eastern Europe. Its Turkish carpet collection is famous worldwide. In the afternoon one will visit the Bran castle, also known as Dracula castle. It was build by the Teutons and afterwards strengthened by the German guilds from Brasov. In the evening one will arrive in Sinaia, the city in the southern Carpathians, which got its name from the monks from the Sinai-peninsula, because of the monastery they built here in Sinaia D/O/B Hotel 2*
3nd Day Sinaia - Mamaia
Today one will drive across Walachia, the region in the south of Romania. After a short tour of the city excursion in Bucharest where one will visit the village museum and the patriarch church one will drive east to the Black sea. Here one will arrive in the northern part of Constanta, in the resort Mamaia. D/O/B Hotel 3*
4th Day Mamaia
Today one can have the day to our disposal. One can of course go bathing or take a walk along the sea bank. For the afternoon, we thought of a tour of the Romanian seaside in order to also get to know the other sea resorts" D/O/B Hotel 3*
5th Day Mamaia
For today one can choose, namely one can remain in the hotel, go swimming or take a day trip to get to know the Danube Delta. In the Danube Delta one will be transported by a small steam boat, which will take the group through the narrow canals. Lunch is also included. (optional 30 EUR). D/O/B Hotel 3*
6th Day Mamaia
Exactly as in the past days, one can also bath today or one can take a walk around. In the afternoon a tour of the city in Constanta is planned and afterwards a wine tasting in the largest wine region in Romania, in Murfatlar D/O/B Hotel 3*
7th Day Mamaia - Pitesti
One will drive in the morning back to Bucharest for the second part of the city tour. The capital of Romania with more than 2.3 million inhabitants is one of the largest cities in the East. As sight, the palace of the parliament stands today in the schedule. It is the second largest building in the world after the Pentagon. One also think about walking around in Bucharest for a couple of hours to be able to get a idea of the current Rumania. In the afternoon one will be on the freeway that connects Bucharest to Pitesti and will immediately arrive to the target of our day. D/O/B Hotel 3*
8th Day Pitesti - Sibiu
In the morning one will drive to Transylvania. On the way one will visit the monastery Cozia which is one of the oldest monasteries in Romania. Through the Red tower pass, one will be back to the southern part of Transylvania. In Sibiu, one will visit the old town with the large and small ring as well as the Catholic and Protestant cathedral. An important point on the trip is also the viewing of the Bruckental museum in Sibiu. Here one can see the most valuable paintings in Romania. In the evening, one are invited to the mountain farmers in Sibiel. Here one will first visit the unique Glass icons museum in the village and after that one will go to the mountain farmers’ home for dinner. O/B Hotel 3*
9th Day Sibiu - Szeged
In the morning one will drive through the villages in which in the 18h century the people from the salt region in Austria, that had to leave their homeland, settled. Sebes is also in the vicinity so that one can also become acquainted with the history of Transylvania. Along the Mures valley, near Deva, one will then arrive to the western part of Romania, in the Banat. Arad is the last Romanian city that one will visit on this tour and which also had a large upswing in the days of Maria Theresa. In Nadlag, one will say goodbye to our Romanian guide that accompanied the group the entire time and drive into the Hungarian Puszta D/O/B Szeged
