1. Day: journey to Hungary
Trip over Gyor to Tatabanya, the idyllic little town, north-east from Budapest. D/O/B
2. Day: Tatabanya - Satu Mare
In the morning we have the opportunity to make a city tour in Eger, the beauty of the northern part of Hungary, with its baroque buildings. Further, trip trough the wildly romantic landscape of the Bükk-mountains to Miskolc. Afterwards, through the cultivation area of the famous Tokaj-wine, to Romania. We will cross the border in Petea. There we will meet our romanian guide, which will accompany us during the stay in Romania. D/O/B in Satu Mare.
3. Day: Satu Mare - Cluj Napoca
Today we will visit the village Sapanta on the Ukrainian border, with its unique "Cheerful graveyard". On wood crosses, painted in different colours, aspects in the life of the dead are humorously shown. The area of Maramures is known for wood carvings. One can admire the famous wood churches and the artistically formed gates. You will also visit the old rod church of Surdesti. Further the trip leads you in direction south to Cluj Napoca. D/O/B
4. Day: Transilvanien - Transylvania
The city of Cluj Napoca is the second largest city of Transilvania and, at the same time, important economic and cultural centre of western Romania. Here you get to know the university town during a city tour. Further trip through Transylvania, which is characterized by a German architectural style, up to Turda and Targu Mures, with its beautiful shopping center and theater place. On the way there you should have a stop in one of the numerous street states and get one of the typical traditional souveniers. The next aim is Sighisoara, the most beautifully available city of this region with its beautiful ancient part of the town, which invites to a walk by the small alleys. You will also visit the old citadel. The trip continues further to Brasov. D/O/B in Brasov.
5. Day: the Carpathians - Dracula castle - Bucharest
During a city tour in Brasov, you get to know the baroque city centre and the town hall market. In Sinaia the splendid castle Peles, which served as a
former summer residence of the royal family of Hohenzollern, is going to be visited. Further, the trip goes on to Bran, to the castle of the famous monarch of Valachia, also known as count Dracula. You'll visit his castle, which is situated on a cliff projection. During the castle tour, the legends will revive and you sense an atmosphere full of tension in the rooms of the bloodthirsty legend. Travel now further to the Rumanian capital, Bucharest and win the first impression of this city, during a city tour " Bucharest by night ". D/O/B in Bucharest
6. Day Bucharest - Sibiu
In the morning, you'll experience the pulsating city of Bucharest by day and visit among others. the Village Museum. This open-air museum shows many buildings gathered from romanian villages of all regions. After leaving Bucharest we will travel further to Sibiu. In Sibiu you'll visit the beautiful medieval centre with the evangelic church and the Bruckenthal-art Musem. At supper, you are expected in the village Sibiel in different farmer's courts, where one invites you to a country-typical meal like "sarmale", polenta or "Ciorba", with "tuica" (traditional spirit) and wine. 7. Day: Sibiu - Szeged
From Sibiu, through the Western-Transilvania, through Arad up to Szeged in Hungary. D/O/B
8. Day hometrip
After the breakfast, trip further through the Magyar-Puszta to Budapest. Here you'll have the opportunity of making a small city tour in Budapest. Afterwards trip back home.
