8 days Journey by plane
1st Day Frankfurt - Bucharest - Tulcea
Arrival at the airport in Bucharest Otopeni. Reception by the romanian guide and we drive towards the Danube Delta. We drive through the eastern part of Valachia, then over the Danube, in Dobrogea. D/O/B H. Delta 3*
2nd Day Danube Delta
In the morning we sail with the ship into the Danube Delta: we pass over the principal canal Sulina. From here we drive through the old Danube to the Fortuna Lake. Lunch on board (incl.). In the afternoon we sail along Nebunu Lake and on the canal of the mile 36, we return again to Tulcea. D/O/B H. Delta 3*
Day 3. Tulcea - Piatra Neamt
In the morning we drive to the vest, along the Danube, through the Dobrudscha. Then with the ferry, over the Danube to Galati. From here we drive then through the southern part of Moldavia, over Focsani, to Piatra Neamt. In the afternoon we visit the St. John Church, that was built by the sovereign Stefan the Great. D/O/B H. 4th Day Piatra Neamt - Campulung Moldovenesc
In the morning we drive to the north. We visit the monasteries Agapia and Varatec. These count each over 1000 nuns and are among the largest in Europe. Afterwards we visit the "Capella Sixtina" of Romania, the monastery Voronet. Here we can see a wonderful representation of the "Last Judgement". In the afternoon we visit the wood museum from Campulung Moldovenesc, where a little surprise waits for us. D/O/B H. Zimbru 3*
5th Day Campulung Moldovenesc - Targu Mures
In the morning we drive to the monastery Moldovita, that is worldwide known for its exteriour wall paintings. Here we can see scenes from the Bible and from the history of the romanian people. After that we drive through the Tihuta Pas, into Transylvania. We will make a short stop at the castle Hotel Dracula to learn more about the Count. Afterwards we drive to Bistrita to visit the Protestant Church (14th Century) with its guild flags. In the afternoon we make a city tour in Targu Mures and we visit the Culture Palace, Orthodox-Cathedral, as well as the Old Fort. D/O/B H. Continental 3*
6th Day Targu Mures - Sibiu
In the morning we drive to Sighisoara. During the city tour we will visit the Clock Tower, the birthplace of Count Dracula, as well as the Mountain Church. After that we drive to Biertan to visit the largest Saxon church castle. Here, until the end of the 19th century, was the residence of the Protestant bishops from Transylvania. In the end we drive to Medias to see the Margareth Church. In the afternoon we make a city tour of Sibiu, visiting the little and large ring, the Bridge of Lies, as well as the Protestant cathedral. In the evening we have a wine-tasting and festive meal with folklore in the R. "Sibiul Vechi". O/B H. Continental 3*
7th Day Sibiu - Predeal
In the morning we drive to Brasov where, during a city tour, we visit the Black Church (largest gothic sacral building from Eastern Europe), the old City Hall and the Orthodox Church from the old town. In the afternoon we visit the castle Bran. This is also known as the Castle Dracula. In the evening, festive meal with folklore at R. "Cabana Trei Brazi" O/B H. Orizont 3*
8th Day Predeal - Bucharest - Frankfurt
In the morning we drive to the capital of Romania. City tour of Bucharest and visit of the Palace of the Parliament (second largest building in the world after the Pentagon), the Patriarchal Church (residence of the orthodox head from Romania), as well as the village museum. Afterwards transfer to the airport, farewell from the romanian guide and flight home.
