DAY 1: FRANKFURT – CLUJ
Arrival at the airport in Cluj, receipt of the Romanian guide and transfer to the hotel. After your check-in, during a short city tour you will see the Matei Corvin’s statue and you will visit St. Michael’s Catholic Church. D/O/B H. Victoria 3*

DAY 2: CLUJ – BAZNA
After breakfast travel to Velt through Turda and Iernut. A beautiful fortified church whose construction began in the 14-th century is located in Velt. The Boian village where there used to be a Saxon fortified church is nearby. The last stop is Bazna, where before the check-in you will visit the fortress. D/O/B H. Bazna Pension 3*

DAY 3: BAZNA
This day starts with visiting the fortified churches of Valchid and of Biertan; the latter was the residence of the evangelic Bishop of Transylvania until the end of 19-th century. The third fortified church on the day’s schedule is Richis. Afterwards you will travel to Sighisoara, one of the few fortresses that are still inhabited. There you will make a city tour, visiting the Clock Tower, the birthplace of Dracula and the Hill Church. D/O/B Bazna Pension 3*

DAY 4: BAZNA
In the morning you will visit the evangelic Margareta Church in Medias, where you can see the biggest windmill in Transylvania. The tour continues with the visit of the Saxon fortified churches of Atel, Buzd, Nemsa and Mosna. D/O/B Bazna Pension 3*

DAY 5: BAZNA
The day begins with a visit to the fortified church in Valea Viilor, one of the biggest fortified churches in Transylvania. Nearby you will find the village Motis where you will visit the local fortified church. Then travel to Axente Sever and visit the only fortified church in Transylvania whose Clock Tower is build right in the center of the church. The last stop is Slimnic where you will visit the ruins of the big fortress. D/O/B Bazna Pension 3*

DAY 6: BAZNA – CAMPULUNG
After breakfast travel to Targu Mures and visit the Orthodox Cathedral (one of the biggest in Romania), the Palace of Culture and the Town Hall. Travel to Bistrita through Reghin. The city tour of Bistrita will include the sightseeing of the Evangelic Cathedral in the Old town. Travel further to Bucovina, the northern part of Moldavia, through the Eastern Carpathians and past Dracula’s home, today transformed into a famous hotel. D/O/B H. Zimbru 3*

DAY 7: CAMPULUNG
In the morning travel to Moldovita Monastery, that is known worldwide for the beautiful paintings on the external walls. Then travel through Obcina Mountains to Sucevita Monastery where you can recognize another style of frescos. Afterwards you will visit the famous pottery center of Marginea. Travel to Putna and visit the monastery where Stefan the Great, one of the most important princes in Romanian history, is buried. On the way back to the hotel you will visit the church of Radauti town, one of the oldest churches in Moldavia. D/O/B/ H. Zimbru 3 *

DAY 8: CAMPULUNG
After breakfast travel to Gura Humorului and visit Humor Monastery, one of the five monasteries in Bucovina that has received the “Golden Apple” decoration from Unesco. Then travel to Arbore and visit the monastery. In the afternoon travel to Dragomirna Monastery whose architecture is very interesting. Travel to Suceava for a city tour that includes sightseeing the Princely Court, ruins and St. Nicolas Church. In the evening return to Campulung. D/O/B H. Zimbru 3*

DAY 9: CAMPULUNG
Travel to Voronet Monastery, also known as the Sistine Chapel of Romania. Here you can admire a beautiful display of the Judgment Day. From here travel to Baia and visit the Catholic Church from the 15-th century. Late in the afternoon return to Campulung. D/O/B H. Zimbru 3*

DAY 10: CAMPULUNG – IASI
Travel to Iasi through Pascani and Targu Frumos. The city tour of Iasi will include visiting the “Three Hierarchs” Church, The Seat of the Moldavian Church and of Golia Monastery. D/O/B H. Moldova 3*

DAY 11: IASI – PIATRA NEAMT
In the morning travel to Neamt Monastery passing through Targu Neamt. Neamt Monastery is one of the oldest Moldavian settlements of prince Stefan the Great. Next, visit to Secu Monastery, also the residence of the prince during the 16-th century. In the afternoon visit Agapia and Varatec monasteries, two of the biggest monasteries in Eastern Europe, each having one thousand monks (Agapia) and nuns (Varatec). The day ends in Piatra Neamt. DAY 12: PIATRA NEAMT – BRASOV
After breakfast visit Bistrita Monastery. Then travel back to Transylvania crossing the Eastern Carpathians, along the Bicaz Gorge and passing the Red Lake. In the afternoon visit the fortified churches of Prejmer and Harman. These are the closest strongholds to the eastern border of Transylvania and they have defended the city of Brasov from the Turkish invasion for hundreds of years. D/O/B H. Capitol 3*

DAY 13: BRASOV

Travel to Cristian, make a quick stop to see the evangelic church, and then travel to Rasnov and visit the medieval fortress. Afterwards travel to Bran and visit the Bran Castle, also known as Dracula’s Castle. Back to Brasov, and make a city tour that includes the visit of the Black Church (the biggest gothic church in Eastern Europe) and the Old City Hall. D/O/B H. Capitol 3*

DAY 14: BRASOV – SIBIU
The day starts by traveling to Sambata de Sus where you will visit the Orthodox Church, built on the sit of the old church. The old church was destroyed by the Hungarian army commanded by the Hapsburgs. Then travel to Cirta and visit the ruins of the monastery’s church and the defense walls. Travel to the city of Fagaras and visit the city and late in the afternoon arrive at Sibiu. D/O/B H. Continental 3*

DAY 15: SIBIU
After breakfast travel to Cisnadioara and visit the evangelic church, then to Cisnadie and visit the Saxon fortified church. Return to Sibiu, tour the city and visit the Small Square and the Great Square, the Lairs Bridge and the Evangelic Cathedral in the old center of the city. D/O/B H. Continental 3*

DAY 16: SIBIU
In the morning travel to Rosia and visit the Saxon church. Then travel to Agnita to visit the fortified church. Continue the journey to Cristian, where you can talk to the German community members during a visit to the fortified church. Travel further to Sibiel, a genuine Saxon village, where you will visit the Glass Icon Museum. D/O/B H, Continental 3*

DAY 17: SIBIU – RAMNICU VALCEA
After breakfast travel along Olt Valley.
You will make a stop at the monk monastery of Cozia, one of the oldest in Romania. Then visit four very important nun monasteries: Horezu, “Dintr-un lemn” (“Made-of-one-peace-of-wood”), Bistrita and Tismana. D/O/B H. Alutus 2*

DAY 18: RAMNICU VALCEA – PITESTI
Travel to Curtea de Arges and visit the monasteries where the members of the Romanian royal family are buried. Then travel to Targoviste and visit Dealu Monastery (17-th century). In the afternoon visit the Royal Court in Targoviste. Travel further to Pitesti through Gaesti. D/O/B H. Muntenia 3*

DAY 19: PITESTI – BUCURESTI
Travel to Bucharest, the capital of Romania. Visit the residence if the Romanian patriarch and Antim Monastery. D/O/B H. Central 3*

DAY 20: BUCURESTI
Today you will visit three monasteries in Bucharest’s surroundings: Caldarusani, Snagov and Cernica. D/O/B H. Central 3*

DAY 21: THE DEPARTURE
Transfer to the airport and fly home.
