Transilvania – 7 days

1. Day Frankfurt – Bucharest – Timisul de Sus
Arrival at the Romanian airport - Otopeni. Meeting the Romanian guide and driving in the mountains to Timisul de Sus. D/O/B H. Continental 3*

2. Day Timisul de Sus – Bran – Fagaras – Agnita – Medias – Bazna
Today you visit the “Dracula Castle”, the Bran Castle. The secret staircase, on wich you can still escape, works perfectly. Afterwards drive through Fagaras to Agnita, where you can visit the mighty fortified church. In Medias you will visit the evangelic Margareth – Church, with its wonderful winged altar. 3. Day Bazna – Sibiu – Sibiel – Bazna
Today you can spend your day in Sibiu. You will enjoy taking a walk in the centre of the city, that has that Middle Age - look. The pastel-coloured houses with the access balconies from the Big Ring are very beautiful. You will visit the evangelic city church, the seat of the Romanian bishops. Lunch will be served at a peasant family in the idyllic village Sibiel. In the late afternoon you will drive back to Bazna. D/O/B Pension Bazna 3*
4. Day Bazna – Biertan – Sighisoara – Seuca – Bazna
You will drive from Bazna to Biertan. The community became the central point of the Saxon area in Transilvania thanks to the right of having a weekly and an annual market. Because it was the seat of the Transilvanian country church, one of the most beautiful fortified churches was built here, and in the middle there lies a late gothic church hall with a very well preserved network of umbrella arches. You will drive further to Sighisoara. The most beautiful transilvanian saxon city was built on an afforested hill, and because of the many timbered houses is often called the Romanian Fortress. From the Clock Tower you have a breath-taking out-look over the city. You can taste a home made wine in a cellar in Seuca during the wine tasting. In the late afternoon you will arrive in Bazna. 5. Day Bazna – Gheorgheni – Lacul Rosu
In the morning, drive over the spa Sovata towards the Eastern Carpathians. You will take a nice walk trough the Bicaz gorge, in order to be able to admire the arduous cliff of the gorge. In Lacul Rosu, our accommodation location, you will take a walk along the “Red Lake”. D/O/B Lacul Rosu 3*
6. Day Lacul Rosu – Prejmer – Harman – Brasov – Timisul de Sus
In the morning , drive over Gheorgheni, Miercurea Ciuc and Sf. Gherorghe to the fortified churches from Prejmer and Harman. We will visit these heavily defended fortified churches, the ones that protected Brasov against the turks for many centuries. Later drive to Brasov, where you will admire the “Black Church” (biggest religious construction inbetween Istanbul and Viena) and the town hall square. D/O/B H. Continental 3*
