1. Day Sat home - Bucharest - Predeal
Arrival an the airport Bucharest-Otopeni, meeting with the Romanian guide and trip further to the Carpathians. In the evening we'll make a short walk to the mountain hut " Cabana 3 Brazi " for a typical Romanian dinner with folklore music. O/B H.Orizont 3*
2. Day Sun Predeal
In the morning trip to the Peles castle from Sinaia. the castle was the summer residence of the Romanian royal family of the Hohenzoller. After the visit, we'll take a walk the the Sinaia monastery, which was built in the 16th century by monks from the Sinai peninsula. In the afternoon we'll visit Bran castle, which is also known as the Dracula castle. On request we can also walk up to the Risnov castle. D/O/B H.Orizont 3*
3. Day Mon Predeal - Piatra Neamt
In the morning we'll visit Brasov, the biggest city of Transylvania. Here we'll visit the Black Church (the biggest gothic sacral building from Eastern Europe). Then we'll see the old town hall, as well as the orthodox church from the old town. Afterwards trip to castle churches from Harman and Prejmer. These are the most eastern castle churches of Transylvania and have defended for centuries the Buzau pas and the city Brasov. Then trip further through the Szekler contry up to Red Lake. 4. Day tue Piatra Neamt - Suceava
In the morning trip in direction north. The first monastery of our program is the Varatec monastery. We will reach the monastery after a of approximately one hour. Here there are more than 1000 nuns and sisters. Together with the Agapia monastery, these are some of the biggest monasteries from Europe. So one can do to himself a complete picture about the life in the orthodox monasteries. In the afternoon we'll visit the Neamt monastery. The walk goes past the Vovidenia monastery and the theological seminar. The Neamt monastery was built in the 15th century by the monarch Stephan the Big. D/O/B H.Continental 3*
5. Day wed monasteries round trip
The day begins with a walk to the Voronet monastery. This is also named the "Capella sixtina " of Romania. The "Last Judgement", which is represented as an outer wall painting in this monastery, is world-famous. In the afternoon we'll visit the Moldovita monastery. Here we are introduced by the mother Tatijana in the world of the orthodox belief. The outer wall paintings of the monastery have religious, as well as historical scenes. Afterwards we'll visit the Sucevita monastery with a similar outer wall painting. In the end, visit of the ceramic centre from Marginea. D/O/B H.Continental 3*
6. Day thu Suceava - Targu Mures
In the morning we'll drive in direction west through the Tihuta pas. During a walk in the mountains we'll make a short stop at the hotel of Dracula. Here we'll have the possibility to distinguish the legend Draculas from the history. In the afternoon we'll make city tour in Bistrita. Here one can visit the evangelic church. This has the highest church tower from Romania. After arriving in Targu Mures, one can see, during a walk, the biggest orthodox church of Romania. 7. Day Fri Targu Mures - Medias
In the today's program we have the visit of the most important Transylvanian saxon church castles. The first stop is in Sighisoara to visit the old town. Here one can see the old Clock Tower, as well as the birthplace of cont Dracula. Afterwards we'll have a walk to the Church from the hill. In the afternoon trip to Saros and from here we'll have a walk to Biertan, to see the biggest castle church from Transylvania. This was the residence of the evangelic bishops until the end of the 19th century. D/O/B Pension Bazna 3*
8. Day Sat Medias
In the morning walk in Bazna to visit saxon church castle, as well as also the spa from this village. In the afternoon trip to Medias. City walk in Medias visiting the Margareth church where one can see the biggest winged altar of Transylvania. D/O/B Pension Bazna 3*
9. Day Sun Medias - Sibiu
In the morning we'll drive until Axente Sever. From here we'll walk to Valea Viilor to see here the old church castle. In the afternoon we'll make a short stopp in Slimnic. We'll have a short walk to the old castle. D/O/B H.Continental 3*
10. Day Mon Sibiu
In the morning trip in the "Young Fforest" and visit of the open-air museum. Afterwards walk to Cisnadioara to see the Saxon church castle and the home museum. In the afternoon trip in direction Sibiel. Walk to the village. Here one can visit the glass icon museum and the orthodox church. Afterwards merry dinner at home at farmers. O/B H.Continental 3*
11. Day tue Sibiu - Pitesti
In the morning visit of the old town from Sibiu. Here we'll see the large and the small ring, as well as also the Bridge of Lies. A special moment is the evangelic church from Sibiu where the son of Dracula, Mihnea, is buried. The Bruckenthal Palace also has a big attraction due to its art gallery. In the afternoon trip through the Red Tower pas to Valachia. We'll make a short stop at the Cozia monastery (14th century). This is one of the oldest orthodox monasteries from Romania. 12. Day wed Pitesti - Bucharest - home
In the morning trip on the highway in direction of the capital of Romania. Then city tour in Bucharest, seeing the Palace of the Parliament (second largest building of the world after the Pentagon), the Patriarchal Church (residence of the orthodox head from Romania), as well as also the Village Museum. In the afternoon transfer to the airport, farewell from the Romanian guide and home flight.
