Day 1. Homeland –Bucharest - Calimanesti
Just after we arrive on the Otopeni airport in Bucharest we meet our local guide and we drive through the Town of Pitesti towards Calimanesti. D/O/B
Day 2. Calimanesti – Cisnadie – Sibiel (45-50km by bicycle)
In the morning we drive by bus to Transylvania until we reach Talmaciu. From here we ride the bicycle to our destination, which is the Village Sibiel. The first stop that we make on the way to our destination is in Cisnadie. Here we visit the Saxon fortified church. Afterwards we ride through Cisnadioara, Poplaca and Orlat until Sibiel. In the evening we are invited to a typical Romanian dinner with wine and schnapps at the mountain farmers in Sibiel. D/O/B in Sibiel
Day 3. Sibiel -Ocna Sibiului - Cenade(45-50km by bicycle)
Only after 5 km we reach the main road to Sibiu. Another few kilometers and we arrive in Ocna Sibiului. Here we visit the spa, which in the former times represented the most attractive spa in Transylvania. Afterwards we ride by bike through the villages of Mandra, Loamnes and Haseg until we reach Cenade. In each village we to visit the fortified churches. D/O/B Cenade
Day 4. Cenade-Copsa Mica-Tarnava-Bazna(40-45km by bicycle)
Today we ride our bikes via Lunca, Tapu, Copsa Mica, Tarnava until Bazna, another famous resort in Transylvania. As on the previous day we make stops in each village or small town to visit the fortified chuches. D/O/B Pension Bazna
Day 5. Bazna-Boian-Tartlau-Cetatea de Balta-Bazna(35-40Km by bicycle)
Ride via Boian, Tarlau, Cetetea de Balta (where the Romanian Champagne is produced). In the afternoon we return to Bazna by another trail, by bikes. Other fortified churches are waiting for us to visit them. D/O/B
Day 6. Bazna-Delenii-Darlos-Alma –Dumbraveni(45-50km by bicycle)
Today we ride via Delenii, Bagaciu, Curciu, Darlos, Alma to Dumbraveni. In each village we can see a beautiful Saxon Church or a Romanian orthodox church. D/O/B H Marion 3*
Day 7. Dumbraveni-Biertan-Agnita-Timisul de Sus(45-50km by bicycle)
The first visit for today is the visit at Biertan. Representing the largest fortified church of Transylvania, Biertan was the residence of the Evangelic Bishops until the 19th century. Afterwards we cross Birghis to get to Agnita. From here we board the bus and we drive via Fagaras and Brasov to Timisul de Sus.D/O/B H Continental Gaiser 3*
Day 8. Timisul de Sus-Bucharest-Homeland
In the morning we leave the mountain resort, Timisul de Sus and we drive towards Bucharest.In the Romanian capital city we visit the Patriarchal Church and the Village Museum. Transfer to the airport, farewell from the Romanian guide and flight back home.
