(8 day journey)
This journey is dedicated to those who want to travel with the old steam locomotives through the incredible Romania. The distances are chosen, so that you can photograph or film, beside the old trains, also a beautiful landscape. We planed rides with the train but we have also 5-6 stops, so that you can see and film the train in motion. The proposed schedule is:

Day 1. home – Bucharest – Sighetul Marmatiei
Arrival at the airport, meeting with the Romanian guide and drive to the capital. City tour in Bucharest, then dinner and departure from Bucharest from the railway station to Sighetul Marmatiei.

Day 2. Sighetul Marmatiei – Viseul de Sus – Sighetul Marmatiei
In the morning, after arrival in Sighetul Marmatiei, we'll drive to the Marmatia hotel for breakfast and check in. Then we'll travel by bus to Viseul de Sus, 43 km away, through the Water Valley. We could also go in the Novat Valley, 13 km away. The loks were built in Budapest and Resita. Lunch in open air in Faina village. In the afternoon back to Viseul de Sus and from here to Sighetul Marmatiei. D/O/B in Marmatia hotel

Day 3. Sighetul Marmatiei – Salva – Bistrita
In the morning, after breakfast, departing with the train (steam locomotive and 3 wagons) from Sighetul Marmatiei to Salva. This is the most beautiful road, with many viaducts and tunnels. After arrival in Salva, drive to Bistrita. D/O/B Coroana de aur Hotel.
Day 4. Bistrita – Reghin – Tg Mures – Ludus – Cluj Napoca
In the morning, after breakfast, we'll drive with the bus to Reghin and from here with a train through Tg. Mures to Ludus (91 km). D/O/B in Transilvania Hotel 3* Cluj Napoca

Day 5. Cluj Napoca – Turda- Abrud – Alba Iulia
In the morning, after breakfast, we'll drive with the bus to Turda and from here by train to Abrud through the Western Carpathians, 93 km. In the afternoon, drive with the bus to Alba Iulia. D/O/B Cetate Hotel.

Day 6. Alba Iulia – Sebes – Sibiu
In the morning, after breakfast, drive with the bus to Sebes and from here by train (steam locomotive nr. 50000). The distance is 74 km. In the afternoon, visit at the stream locomotives museum from Sibiu. Of course visit of the old town, where most of the german-romanians are living. D/O/B Continental hotel 3*

Day 7. Sibiu – Brasov – Sinaia
In the morning, after breakfast, drive with the Pacific locomotive and the nostalgic wagons between Sibiu and Brasov, 149 km. After arrival in Brasov, we'll drive with the bus to Sinaia. By request we can visit the Bran Castle. D/O/B Montana Hotel 3*

Day 8. Sinaia – Bucharest Otopeni – home
After breakfast, in the morning, we'll drive with the bus to the airport and then home flight.
