(8-day experience journey)
This journey is dedicated to those who want to travel with the old steam locomotives through the incredible Romania. The distances are chosen, so that you can photograph or film, beside the old trains, also a beautiful landscape. We planed rides with the train but we have also 5-6 stops, so that you can see and film the train in motion. The proposed schedule is:

1. Day. home - Bucharest - Resita
Arrival in the afternoon on the airport Bucharest-Otopeni, transfer to Bucharest, city tour with visiting of the Patriarchal Church, the Village Museum, as well as also the Palace of the Parliament, the second largest building of the world after the Pentagon. Dinner and departure by the night train (sleeping car first class) to Resita.

2. Day Resita - Deva
In the morning, after arrival in Resita, we'll have breakfast. Then we'll drive by bus to Oravita and then with an old train, together with the steam locomotive BR. 50065 to Anina. On the way we'll make a few stopps in order to make some photos of the train when it comes into the tunnels. In the afternoon we'll drive throgh Caransebes-Hater to Deva. D/O/B

3. Day. Deva - Alba Iulia
In the morning we'll drive approximately 70 kms to Abrud, in order to take from here the light railway with steam locomotive to Turda. From here we'll travel arround 93 kms through the beautiful landscape of the Western Carpathians. The train stops several times, so that we can photograph it. Late in the afternoon we are expected from the bus in Turda and we'll drive to the hotel in Alba Iulia. D/O/B

4. Day. Alba Iulia - Sibiu
In the morning we'll drive by bus to Sebes, where the old passenger train, together with the steam locomotive 50.497, wait for us. Trip further through the Southern Carpathians to Sibiu, a distance of 74 kms. Of course the train stops several times on the way, so that one can photograph it. In the afternoon we are expected from the bus in the railway station of Sibiu and drive further to the hotel. D/O/B

5. Day. Sibiu - Calimanesti
The today's program leads through the Southern Carpathians, through the Olt-Valley, or the Red Tower pas, how it is still named. Today the trip has a length of 83 km, between the railway stations Sibiu and Calimanesti. One can photograph the beautiful landscape which we can admire from the train, pulled from the steam locomotive 230.224. In the afternoon we are expected from the bus at the railway station from Calimanesti and drive further to Sibiu in the hotel. D/O/B

6. Day. Sibiu - Agnita
In the morning we'll visit the museum of the steam locomotives near the railway from Sibiu, where one can see a variety of old steam locomotives which are still functional. Then trip further with the light railway to Agnita, a distance of 58 kms. The nostalgic train is pulled by the steam locomotive 764.205. The bus is waiting for us at the railway station in Agnita and it will bring us at the hotel. D/O/B

7. Day. Sibiu - Predeal
Today is the last day in which we'll travel with nostalgic trains. Therefore the express train is programmed for this day which is pulled by a Pacific-locomotive. The distance between Sibiu and Brasov, in a length of 149 kms, is pulled by the steam locomotive 231.065. The express train has luxury-vagons which were built at the beginning of the 20th century in Italy. From time to time, we'll make stops to fill up with water from the fire engines. In Brasov we are expected from our bus, which will brin us to Predeal, a beautiful ski resort in the Southern Carpathians. D/O/B

8. Day. Predeal - Bucharest - home
In the morning we'll drive by bus to the Bucharest airport. In the airport the group says goodbye to the Romanian guide and from the driver.
