The beach has a fine sand. The lack of rocks and of dangerous fish (sharks) make out of the Black Sea coast an ideal place for sea resort tourism. The water of the Techirghiol Lake is very hypertonic with a concentration of about 80 g/l mineral content and therefore a really therapeutical water. The mud of the Techirghiol Lake, that is used for the treatments, is a sapropelic mud - rotten mud resulted from the fermentation and ruin of the lake fauna under air termination. It is rich in mineral and organic materials, huminacids, estrogen and enzyme with activating and regenerating effects on the tissue.
