2. Day: Tatabanya - Timisoara
Meeting with the Romanian guide at the border in Nadlag and drive to Timisoara. City walk with visit at the opera place where the revolution from December, 1989 began, as well as at the orthodox cathedral, seat of the Mitropolitan of the Banat area. D/O/B H.Continental 3*
3. Day: Timisoara - Sibiu
In the morning drive trough the Mures valley to Transylvania. Short stop in Alba Iulia, to visit the Roman Catholic cathedral (residence of the Bishop from Transylvania). Here we can also see the fortress which was built by Eugen von Savoyen. Festive dinner with vine tasting in the R. "Sibiul vechi". O/B H.Continental 3*
4. Day: round trip at the fortified chrches
In the morning drive to Slimnic and Axente Sever to visit the Saxon fortified churches from the 14th century. Afterwards visit at the old part of the city of Sighisoara. Here we can visit the clock tower, the birthplace of count Dracula, as well as the mountain church. The fortified church of Biertan was also the residence of the Evangelical Bishops from Transylvania untill the end of the 19th century. Afterwards visit at the Margarethian church from Medias where we can adimre a very beautiful winged altar-piece. D/O/B H.Continental 3*
5. Day: Sibiu
In the morning city walk in Sibiu with visit at the big and small ring, the Bridge of Lies, as well as at the Evangelical cathedral (residence of the Evangelical Bishops of Romania). Afterwards visit at the Bruckenthal-museum. In the afternoon the village museum from the "Young Forest" is visited. In the evening at the the glass icon museum from Sibiel. Afterwards festive dinner in the villigers homes. O/B H.Continental 3*
6. Day: Sibiu - Predeal
In the morning drive to Brasov. City walk with visit at the Black church (the biggest Gothic style built building of Eastern Europe), the old town hall, as well as at the orthodox church from the old part of the city. Afterwards drive in the mountains to Predeal. D/O/B H.Orizont 3*
7. Day: Predeal - Bucharest - Predeal
In the morning drive in direction of the capital of Romania. City tour in Bucharest with visit at the Palace of the Parliament (second largest building in the world after the Pentagon), the Patriarch's church (residence of the orthodox head of Romania), as well as at the village museum. In the evening drive back in the mountains. D/O/B H.Orizont 3*
8. Day: Predeal
In the morning inspection of the Peles castle (summer residence of the Romanian royal family of Hohenzollern) and the monastery of Sinaia (16th century) which was built by the monks coming from the Sinai-peninsula and has given later also the name of the city. Then the Bran castle is being visited. This has been built by the German knights already in the 13th century. In the evening festive dinner with folklore music in the R. "Cabana trei brazi". 9. Day: Predeal - Piatra Neamt
In the morning trip past Brasov to Harman and Prejmer. These two fortresses have defended for centuries the biggest city of Transylvania of the plundering raids of the Turks, from the northern part. Afterwards trough the Szekler county, past the Red Lake, trough the Bicaz-gorge we arrive into Moldavia. Short stop at the monastery in Bistrita to get to know the symbols of the orthodox belief. 10. Day: Piatra Neamt - Suceava
In the morning drive north. Visit at the convents of Agapia and Varatec. These are the biggest in whole Europe with more than 1000 nuns. Afterwards visit at the monastery Neamt which was built by the monarch Stefan to the Great. In the afternoon the monastery Voronet is being visited. This is also known as the "Capella sixtina" of Romania. Here we can admire a beautiful representation of the "After Judgement". D/O/B H.Continental 3*
11. Day: monasteries round trip
In the morning visit at the monastery of Humor which is known because of its outer wall paintings all over the world. Afterwards trip to the monastery Moldovita which is also known because of its outer wall paintings. Afterwards over the Obcina mountain we arrive to the monastery Sucevita. Here we can admire the outer wall paintings with scenes from the Bible, as well as also from the history of the Rumanian people. In the afternoon the ceramic centre from Marginea is being visited. Afterwards trough Radauti we arrive at the monastery Dragomirna. D/O/B H.Continental 3*
12. Day: Suceava - Satu Mare
In the morning drive trough the northern part of Moldavia, trough Bukovina, to the east Carpathians. Afterwards, trough the Prislop-pass, in the Maramures area. Visit at the wood churches from the Iza-valley which are very similar to the Norwegian churches. The wood churches from Ieud, Rozavlea and Bogdan Voda are being visited. In the afternoon short stop at the "cheerful cemetery" from Sapinta. Here we can read on every gravestone a funny poem about the dead.D/O/B H.Dacia 3*
13. Day: Satu Mare - Tatabanya
In the morning drive to the border by Petea. Farewell of the Rumanian guide and drive to Budapest. City tour in Budapest with visit at the Skt. Stefan's cathedral, as well as at the fishing bastion. In the evening arrival in Tatabanya. D/O/B H.Arpad 3*
